The foundation partners with local schools to provide resources and learning opportunities for teachers and students. For example, two educators per year are able to study and travel internationally through The Catherine Miller Explorer Awards.
The foundation partners with other Iowa institutions to provide various international events/conferences. Two programs that are cosponsored with the Iowa Council for International Understanding are International Fellows and the Iowa Student Global Leadership Conference.
We also partner with community organizations to provide educational opportunities in our local community. "The Water in My Backyard" is the Annual Community Read for the Environment (ACRE) project to promote reading, writing, and concern about the environment. From April through September 2010, many Muscatine community events are planned for all ages. Please join in one, several, or all of the activities promoted.
